A) FREE RADICAL GENERATION
The undesirable aspect of administering Hydrogen Peroxide is not just that it releases nascent
unstable oxygen, but also because it enters into biochemical reactions that generate an even more toxic substance, namely, hydroxyl radical (the reaction of Hydrogen Peroxide with superoxide, also
produced as a result of oxygen metabolism), the most deleterious of toxic metabolites¬ (Haber-Weiss reaction).
B) ABNORMAL STIMULATION of CELLS
Recent research shows that Hydrogen
Peroxide can cause not only mutations (changes in the DNA templates), but liver cancer as well.
C) REDUCED LIFE SPAN
Research has shown a direct correlation between life span and the
amount of catalase actually present to destroy Hydrogen Peroxide.¬ Those who had less catalase had shorter life spans.
Hydrogen Peroxide has produced some short term beneficial
